Montgomery County, MD
Clarksburg Village is a 777 acre mixed use residential development located in Montgomery County. CPJ was responsible for planning, engineering, and surveying for this project. Clarksburg Village consists of 2,654 dwelling units and 109,000 square feet of commercial in a mixed traditional neighborhood development style. CPJ completed all necessary approvals and permits for the project from Montgomery County, State Highway Administration, Maryland Department of the Environment, WSSC, and M-NCPPC.
Mount Vernon Gateway
Fairfax County, Virginia
The site included a proposed high-density mixed use residential and office/retail complex. A substantial portion of the site was to be developed with underground parking.
The site was bounded on all three sides by public streets which were required to be improved, including substantial widening and improvements to US Route 1. The site was also impacted by overhead utility poles, many of which needed to be relocated or placed underground in conduits through the project in a manner that would not impact the overall site development and in particular could be designed around the proposed parking structures. The project also was designed to provide Stormwater Management and Best Management Practices (BMPs) for approximately 16 acres of offsite commercial area that was not being treated with any water quality facilities. CPJ also performed various survey tasks such as: Boundary and Topographic Survey(s), as-builts of existing sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure and Horizontal & Vertical control networks, Preparation of record plats as well as on-site and offsite easement plats for the subject and adjacent properties.

As a consultant for Duffie Inc., CPJ provided all the required Civil Site Engineering, Planning, Landscaping & Surveying services for this 5 story, 55,000 square foot office building, which has a pending LEED Gold certification for green building design. CPJ worked closely with the various disciplines involved on the project including the building architect, M.E.P. and the LEED A.P. consultant.
